CHRISTMAS
OPEN HOUSE
Thursday, November 3rd through Saturday, November 5th
Atchison, Kansas

The snowflakes tickle my
nose and I dream of days past with all the wonders of sugarplum fairies, or
dancing tin soldiers, a snowman that came to life and maybe eight tiny reindeer.
Let us take you back to a simpler time, when the glow of the Christmas tree and
the warmth of family and friends are the gifts most dear.
Please join us at the home of Mary Carol Garrity
as we celebrate this holiday season with a glimpse at the past and hope for the
future. Welcome friends.

Mary Carol Garrity established Nell Hill's
in 1990 in an old bank building in downtown
Atchison, Kansas, naming the store after her maternal grandmother. The
eclectic shop houses European antiques, home furnishings, and offers
giftware and other accessories all at a great value. Part of the mystique
of Nell Hill's is that the store is constantly changing, partly to keep
customers interested and coming back.

Mary Carol has an unabashed attraction to
the old buildings that pepper downtown
Atchison. The most recent addition to her emporium family, Garrity's Encore,
is housed in a restored building that dates to the turn of the century. Mary
Carol has long relied on husband Dan Garrity's keen eye for special antique
pieces, so she thought it only fitting that he have a store that pays him
homage. Garrity's Encore, named for Dan, features antiques that Dan finds on his
frequent buying trips to Europe and the store is large enough to hold major
pieces. In typical Mary Carol style, the store provides a backdrop for her to
showcases her talent for mixing old with new, antique with contemporary.
