Day
1 - Amish Kalona & Villa Comagena
Pickup schedule to be announced - coffee, orange juice, and
fresh baked muffins will
be served on the motorcoach
12 pm Kalona Tour & Lunch - area tour with a local step-on guide -
including the
Historical Village
and shopping at the
Amish Craft & Specialty shops. The Amish
men are busy on
the
farms from daylight to dark. Their religion forbids any reliance
upon technology, so they
do not
use electricity. Fieldwork is done with the aid of
horses and
horse-drawn implements.
5 pm Check into our hotel
in Cedar Rapids.
6 pm Depart for an
evening of entertainment and dinner at Villa
Comagena - delicious
meal after which Inn
Schminke recounts the story of Nazi-occupation in Austria
and her struggle to get
to America.

Day 2 - Stone Barn & Progressive Dinner

City Tour of Cedar Rapids, Iowa with stops at the National
Czech & Slovak
Museum
and Duffy’s
Collectible Cars
11 pm Lunch at the Stone
Barn in Stone City
3 pm Dubuque - shopping at the Cable
Car Square/Fenelon Place Elevator Company.

5 pm Check into our hotel
in Dubuque and get ready for dinner.

8 am Driving City
Tour to include: Eagle Point Park; Fenelon Place Elevator; Shot
Tower; Dubuque
County Courthouse; Julien Dubuque Monument; Town Clock;
Cathedral
Square; and
other historical sites.
10 am Lunch and tour
on board the Spirit of
Dubuque - Enjoy a two hour luncheon
sightseeing
river
cruise.
1 pm Depart
for Decorah, Iowa and Check into our hotel. Dinner
is included this evening
at the historic Hotel Winneshiek.

4 - Decorah - Spillville
8 am Driving
City Tour of Decorah -
look over the beautiful old home in this unique
historic
village.
9 am Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum - Sixteen historic buildings
covering
nearly a
city
block of colorful folk arts, costumes, homes, ship gallery, hands-on
exhibits,
restaurant, and
gift shops.
11 am Bily Clocks Museum - See clocks Joseph and Frank Bily hand carved
over a 45
year period.
Don’t miss the Antonin Dvorak Exhibit upstairs. Dvorak lived in
the
building during the
summer of 1893.
1 pm Lunch
is included today before we travel to Manly, Iowa - our next stop on
the tour
3 pm Kaleidoscopes To You - they have specialized in Kaleidoscopes since
1982, They
offer many
unique kaleidoscopes and books on kaleidoscopes for collectors,
adults,
and for
children.
5 pm Check
into our hotel in Austin, MN. Dinner
and entertainment is included at local
Restaurant.
