For
one hundred years, the Portland
Rose Festival has served families and individuals from Oregon
and beyond with events and programs that spotlight the riches of the
Pacific Northwest heritage and environment while offering colorful
examples of many international cultures. Attended by more than two
million people, the festival is annually one of the top three most
highly decorated events by the International Festivals & Events
Association and in 2007 was named Best Festival in the World. Among
the festival's most popular events are the Grand Floral Parade, one
of the nation's top two all-floral parades, and the WaMu Waterfront
Village, which features the Best Children's Programming in the
World. Rose Festival in June. Whether it's been just a month or many

Grand Floral Parade - Saturday
- Let us save your cusioned, climate-controlled reserved seats with
prime viewing for this spectacular all-floral parade! We've lowered
the curtains inside the Coliseum, so sitting inside is even more
like sitting outside - but with no worries about what the weather
might do. The Queen's Coronation is the "crowning moment"
just before the parade - you'll see it with reserved indoor seats.
Concert
at the Park - Friday - The best local and visiting marching
bands give extended performances - including several field shows -
and they want you to cheer loudly so they can win the coveted
"People's Choice Award." The Rose Festival's popular
500-member One More Time Around Again Marching Band is featured for
a special 25th anniversary performance this year - it will be truly
spectacular!

One Rose" Motion Picture Screening - Saturday
This film follows milestones of the last century as seen
through the eyes of a couragous Portland woman, and this special
screening includes pre-show vaudeville entertainment set to live
organ music at the historic Hollywood Theatre.
Living History Character Visits - Mayor
Harry Lane & Mrs. Georgiana Pittock - These delightful
characters bring the early days of Portland and the Rose Festival to
life with a special personalized visit and "history
lesson." A visit can be scheduled at any time of year |
