Song of Hiawatha Pageant - From Longfellow's poem. A beautiful pageant held
in a large outdoor natural amphitheater. Reserved seating for 3.500. Elaborate
lighting and lovely costumes and a cast of 200 make this a truly unforgettable
event.
Buffalo Ridge - North America's Largest Wind Farm-Nearly 500 working wind
generators stretch over a 30-mile area of Buffalo Ridge. Buffalo Ridge is one of the highest and
windiest elevations in Minnesota. This is a true combining of the strength of
the prairie and man to harness the wind and provide it to the people for use.
The turbines can be seen a few miles northeast of Pipestone. Pipestone County
Museum - One of the regions finest displays plus a guided tour of the museum and
Historic District. The Historic District is comprised of 20 unique and beautiful
quartzite buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places including
the Calumet Hotel. An award winning museum!
Fort Pipestone - A full size replica of a working fort with a beautiful cedar
log cabin gift shop in the center: which features handcrafted American Indian
crafts. souvenirs and gifts plus the beautiful Carlson Indian Dolls.
