                                  Tour Schedule  
 
8:00 am  Depart and travel to Orange City.  Coffee, orange juice, and muffins will 
                be served on board the motorcoach.  We will take a break during the morning.
11:00 am   Group City Bus Tour (step-on guide) is scheduled to afford us easy access to all of the 
                beautiful Tulip Gardens in Orange City.
12:00 am  Lunch at the Monica Society Tent - plenty of delicious ethnic food. After lunch you should 
                have a little free time to spend at the shops.              
 
1:00 pm  Reserved seats for the afternoon activities: Straat Feest - is a festival highlight which 
               includes Klompen Dancers, Kinderspelen (children playing), Dutch Folk Dancers, Mode 
               Show (parade of province costumes), and the presentation of the 1997 Tulip Queen.      
 2:00 pm  Street Inspection and Street Scrubbers - Tradition demands immaculately clean streets 
               for the passage of the Queen in the Volksparade. Costumed children and adults take part 
               in this uniquely fun spectacle.
 2:15 pm  Volksparade - See colorful floats and glimpses of 19th century Holland in one of the best 
               parades in the Midwest. Hear junior and high school marching bands, including Orange 
               City's own "Pride of the Dutchmen" marching in wooden shoes.
 3:30 pm  Flower Show & Sioux County Heritage Center & Free time for everyone to browse, 
               shop, and enjoy the celebration.
 
5:30 pm  Board the motorcoach to return home.  We will stop in Sioux City for a break and supper if 
               anyone is still hungry. 
 9:00 pm  Arrive home from one of the most colorful events in the Midwest.

Tour price includes:  Deluxe motorcoach transportation; guided tour of the Orange City and their beautiful tulip gardens; reserved seating for Straat Feest, Street Inspection, Street Scrubbers, and Volksparade;  tickets to Flower Show and the Sioux County Heritage Center;  lunch at the Monica Society Tent; coffee, orange juice, and muffins as we travel to Orange City;  tour escort; and snacks with iced tea or lemonade.
