1st
Day - Monday
Pick
up everyone and drive to Loveland
Departure schedule for the tour will
be announced after we have evaluated the trip sign-up. Coffee, orange juice, and
fresh baked muffin will be served on the motorcoach in the morning. Rest breaks
will be scheduled every two hours. Lunch
will be at your own expense at one of the rest breaks. A get acquainted dinner
is scheduled this evening.
Overnight
in Loveland - lodging
and dinner are included.
2nd
Day - Tuesday
Tour
Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park
This will be one of your most
memorable days featuring Rocky Mountain
National Park as you will take a scenic drive through the aspens and pines
up to the 9,475-foot level to enjoy the serenity of Bear Lake and 400-year old
spruce trees. Next we will travel up Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous
road in the U.S., marveling at the spectacular scenery of the majestic mountains
in which 107 peaks tower over 11,000 feet high.
Also enjoy the wildlife including deer, elk, and bighorn sheep.

in Loveland - lunch
is on your own in the park, breakfast, lodging and dinner are included.
3rd
Day - Wednesday
Tour
of the Colorado Springs area
This morning we start our day with a
guided tour of Loveland. We will tour Benson Park featuring a variety of
beautiful bronze sculptures. Also included is a special stop at a unique artist
gallery north of town.
From here it is about 2 hours to
Colorado Springs where we have a step-on-guide waiting for us. Our city tour
includes stops at: Garden of the Gods - Tour
the cathedral-like park of striking red rocks and deep green foliage that area
pioneers labeled the Garden of the Gods in 1859. The 3-million-year-old
formation is a tribute to nature's craftsmanship. United States Air
Force Academy - Stop at the Visitors Center and Cadet Chapel.
Overnight
in Colorado Springs for the next 2 days - lunch is on your own at one of
our stops, breakfast, lodging and dinner are included.
4th
Day - Thursday
Pikes
Peak and the Manitou Cliff Dwellings
This morning after our continental
breakfast we are off to Pikes Peak.
We will take the Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway for a spectacular
journey to the 14,110-foot summit of Pikes Peak.
Next stop is at Manitou Cliff Dwellings - Explore
the dwellings room by room of the Anasazi Indian’s of 700 years ago. Wander
through “The Pueblo” a three-story dwelling which displays the architecture
of ancient culture.
Pikes
Peak Ghost Town
- authentically reconstructed old west mining town. An exciting place to spend
some time.
Seven
Falls
- The sight of water cascading 300 feet down a sheer granite cliff is
breathtaking. This is “the grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado” - we drive
along a box canyon, and see some amazing rock formations getting to the falls.
Iron
Springs Chateau
- This delightful evening begins with a delicious family-style dinner of
beef ribs and oven-fried chicken with all of the trimming. Then on to a
hilarious melodrama production. After
that show get ready for a foot-stomping sing-along and vaudeville production.
5th Day - Friday
Royal
Gorge and Royal Gorge Route
After our continental breakfast, we
are off for another adventurous day!
Royal
Gorge -
where the world’s highest suspension bridge soars 1,053 feet above the
Arkansas River. A thrilling aerial tram and incline railway add to this
wonderful stop.
Royal
Gorge Route
- experience one of the most spectacular railroads rides in the world! A two
hour journey through the heart of the Royal Gorge along the Arkansas River.
Flying
W Ranch -
Tonight we will enjoy a Chuck wagon Dinner with interesting food and some great
entertainment.
6th Day - Saturday
Return
everyone safely home,
enjoying lunch (on your own) en-route. This closes a memorable vacation of
Colorado's most beautiful scenery and refreshing climate.
